    the stem and crown do not engage properly and cannot set the time accurately. it took 2 weeks of dispute to resolve and I now have to pay to return the watch. San Martin have some great watches but the customer experience with returns of faulty products is a deal breaker and I will not buy another watch from them.

    This is my 4th, and probably last San Martinez watch. I messaged them immediately after purchasing the watch and requested a QC check. They assured me they would do that. And yet, the watch arrived with a misaligned bezel, a crown that will not screw in all the way, and the date wheel is horribly misaligned and is towards the left of the date window, a problem many other reviews have mentioned. I still ordered the watch and learned my lesson. I contacted San Martin with pictures but they claim this all meets their QC standards and there’s no problem. What’s worse is they talk down to customers claiming I haven’t screwed the crown down correctly. Instead of taking ownership of their shoddy workmanship. Stay away, or buy used or from another seller where you are assured proper QC checks before buying.

    Ominy Market Shopper –

    Disappointed with my first San Martin purchase. I received the watch, the quality is good overall, but I noticed that the left lug is noticeably thinner than the right lug. I measured with caliper several times, the left lug is 3.0mm while the right one is 3.6mm that’s almost 20% difference. I contacted the customer service to find a solution, but all I got was “this is not a problem as long as there’s no gap on the lug” and “it’s your fault because your measurement is not accurate”. To be honest I would be ok with it if they just acknowledge the problem and they’ll do better QC next time, after all it’s not an expensive watch. But their attitude of “we can’t be wrong, it must be your problem” is really disappointing. I’ve posted the conversation just to be transparent
